Firms Can Sign Up for a Two-Hour Volunteer Window

Help inspire the next generation of engineers and STEM professionals at Mission Tomorrow 2026!

Mission Tomorrow, in partnership with Junior Achievement of Central Virginia, is Richmond’s premier career exploration event for students. This dynamic, hands-on experience connects approximately 12,000 eighth-grade students with more than 100 local businesses and organizations through interactive activities, demonstrations, and career-focused conversations.

Students from Charles City, Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan, and Richmond will participate in this year’s event.

Volunteer with ACEC Virginia

ACEC Virginia is looking for firm volunteers to help introduce students to the exciting possibilities available within the engineering industry.

Firms can sign up for a two-hour window between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM on October 20, 21, or 22. During your shift, you’ll have the opportunity to engage directly with eighth-grade students, answer questions, and help them learn more about engineering careers and the many ways engineers impact their communities.  You can bring interactive activities, presentations, hands-on demonstrations, VR, etc.
